Abstract:
An indirect estimation method of the scale parameter in the Nash model considering basin climatic and geomorphologic characteristics is proposed. The proposal links the results of the dependence of instantaneous unit hydrograph model parameters with Horton's laws and basic expressions of the geomorphoclimatic model through the derived distribution technique. Testing of the method on two catchments in Argentina with different characteristics and the comparison between their simulated hydrographs with indirect estimation and with moment method estimation are presented.
